食性:肉食性
主要棲息於沿岸珊瑚礁、岩礁區外緣，主要分布的深度在10-75公尺。生殖季為3-5月和9-11月。主要以軟體動物、甲殼類及小魚為食，為澎湖居民喜食魚種。
Inhabits coral reefs and coastal rocky areas. Distributes between 10-75m depth. The breeding seasons are during March to May and September to November. Feeds on mollusks, crabs and smaller fishes. In Penghu the species is commercially important as food.
