食性:藻食性

分布於東南亞國家，日本琉球至南太平洋，台灣綠島，澎湖有少量族群，棲息約4-20公尺深的碎礫石底和礁岩洞穴，為蠑螺科中(Turbinidae)體型最大者， 體長可達20公分，重量可達 2公斤。夏天為生殖季，殼有經濟附加價值。

 

Distributes in east-southern Asia. Inhabits gravel substrate and rocky cave at depth of 4-20 m. Summer is the breeding season. It is active at night and forages among the rubble for the algae and microalgae on which it feeds.
